Yoga means to "yoke together," to unite. Union happens when we learn how to control our thoughts so we can begin to abide consciously in our real nature. We have been created in the image and the likeness of God and therefore we have creative capacity because God is creativity itself. God is this life, creative all the time. It isn't that creation happened. It's happening now and we're part of it. Learning how to control our thinking is the first step in getting to know God and to know ourselves as children of God.
