When you are experiencing life at the level of mind, or the level of the ego, at a very subtle level, you are saying to whatever is present, "I already know you. I have already experienced you. I already have my opinions, judgements and beliefs about you. And so, I do not have to be fully present with you in this moment. I do not have to know you in this moment because I already know you from the past." There is no innocence in that. There is no presence in that.
