We are not promised that when we have a relationship with God, nothing bad will ever happen to us. That's a very immature kind of idea about God. A more mature relationship is, "No matter what happens in my life, my relationship with You, God, is greater." Partnering with God gives us a strength and perception that tells us the kind of power within is greater than what's happening in the world and we know the truth, that we are not alone.
