Stop exchanging horror stories- about how bad your day was, how many demands were placed on you, the inconveniences, the demands, and so on. Focusing too much on the negative parts of your day serves to remind you of the pressures and difficulties of daily living, thereby convincing you that it's appropriate to be serious, heavy- hearted, and uptight. Focusing on the positive things in life is far more interesting and a great deal more fun than focusing on the negatives.
