Sometimes we cheat ourselves out of joy. We might disparage our present life, delay happiness until the bank account increases, suspend all loving until Prince (or Princess) Charming comes along, or rein back our talents at work until the big promotion happens. We forget to live in the moment and instead defer joy until that magic moment when our fantasies comes true. Beginning today, we can offer thanks for something good that happened today. Very shortly, we will find that joy doesn't ever need to be postponed. It has been available to us all along.
