Some people do think that worrying is helpful because they mistake it for planning. But worry is distinctly different from planning. Planning has a purpose and a goal, is informed by creativity, leads to constructive change and increased energy. Worry has no constructive purpose, is informed by fear and leads to confusion and exhaustion. When you catch yourself worrying, think about how you could shift gears by switching into constructive planning or by letting go of what isn't happening through tuning into what is.
