Our life is like a pond and when it has no connection to a stream of fresh water, it becomes stagnant and stale. What is growing in the pond of our lives depends on the connection we have to that fresh stream of the connection to God's life. When we try to live our lives on our own, without God, our lives too become stagnant and stale.
