on the diane rehm show, harriet lerner (in response to a question about advice to give to girls on growing up and getting married) quoted someone else saying, "speak your mind; speak your mind; speak your mind. the only person you'll scare off is your future ex-husband." this is advice I wish I'd had years ago, and I've got a wonderful 14 year old daughter, and an ex-husband. so I thought I'd do some calligraphy and have it tattooed backwards on her forehead.
