In the biblical story, Peter sinks when Jesus beckons him to walk on water, a story in which many people point to Peter as a failure. The truth is, Peter represents our faith. There were 12 people in the boat, but only Peter dared climb out. If we don't get out of the boat, we will never know the glory of moving toward our dreams. Nor will we ever experience the glory and the grace of being lifted when we sink. If we don't step out, God can't step up. Whatever we want to create in our lives, we don't have to vanquish our fear. Through faith, we move toward our heart's desire even in the midst of that fear.
