If someone throws us the ball, we don't have to catch it. Often our inner struggles come from jumping on board someone else's problems; someone throws us a concern and we assume we have to catch it, and respond. We end up feeling stressed, resentful, or just emotionally preoccupied with someone else's concerns. We don't have to participate every time someone throws one at us, it's okay to set boundaries and limits. We can choose when we want to play catch, and when we don't.
