Buy a pack of baseball cards - look at the stats on the back of the player's card. Look for the year the batter had the most home runs - it's almost always the same year he had the most strike outs - because great success requires great risk. A home run swing is riskier than a level base-hit type of swing. Check the pitcher's cards - most likely the year with the most strike outs also has the most walks - because strikeouts require pitching on the edge - where the risk and rewards are.
