Abraham Maslow was a psychologist who was interested not in the what's wrong with people, but in the what's right with people. He studied people he called peak performers, those who felt happy to be alive, who awakened every morning with a zest for living. They noticed sunrises and sunsets and the smell of fresh coffee. And when their child took their hand it was no ordinary event. Maslow said these people were porous to aliveness. Ask yourself this: Do I feel fully alive or do I just skim the surface? Your capacity is there. You can come fully alive any moment you choose.
